Handled in Korea as a distribution partner
SH&StarGlobal curates global brands against a demanding standard, one set by going through every part of camping ourselves. To bring the value your product carries to Korean campers in the best way it can be brought, we offer a systematic, trusted distribution network as your local distributor.
Every part of what SH&StarGlobal does begins with that one question.
We are a Seoul-based import and distribution company working in a single category: camping and outdoor. Our roots are in backpacking, and they taught us what those hours are worth — pitching the tent, cooking, sitting with the night sky. That understanding of the field is what we bring to putting an overseas brand into the Korean market.
We do not judge a product from a spec sheet. Before we propose a brand, we go through in detail how your product fits Korean campsites and how Korean users actually behave. The point is not to find fault — it is to carry what your gear genuinely does, and the thinking behind it, into Korean in the most accurate language we can find. We pass on what has been confirmed, and we do not make inflated or premature promises. That is the standard we hold ourselves to with a brand.
SH&StarGlobal works as a local partner rather than an importer alone. We build localised content that carries the brand's own thinking, manage the distribution channels on steady stock operations, and feed the Korean market's real reactions and data back to the brand — which is what makes a partnership that grows both sides.
Translating the copy is not the job. The job is to rebuild why a brand made something the way it did, in the language and context a Korean buyer actually reads.
Certification status, lead time, stock, sell-through. A number we have not confirmed does not go into a deck or onto a product page.
A product page can be staged. Wind, rain and a cold morning cannot. We form our view of a product where the product gets used.
Three years from now, we want to be the first call a camping brand makes when it starts looking at Korea — not because we carry the most brands, but because the ones we took on are still selling.
When one week after another had worn me down, I took up camping looking for a vent in a closed room. What took hold of me was backpacking — everything resting on my own two feet and shoulders. That was where I learned to carry only what survival actually asks for, and to leave the complicated thinking behind in the city.
Pitching a tent out in the middle of it, stretching out tired legs, and meeting a quiet night. I found a depth of relief there that a bright city had never given me. What let me stay inside that calm, through changeable weather and rough conditions, was the gear in my pack holding up its end. One piece of equipment decides the temperature of a night, and that night gives you the strength to go back to ordinary life. Enough time in the field taught me that properly.
SH&StarGlobal started from that experience. As a camper who loves this properly and has taken the knocks first-hand, I will introduce — honestly — only the gear that has earned its place in your pack.

Every Korean channel asks for different paperwork and runs on a different rhythm. Managing that from abroad is hard for a brand. That is the part we take on.
The categories we sell are the categories we use. Selection starts from carrying the thing, not from a margin sheet.
We have listed and sold through open marketplaces, lifestyle platforms, department stores and home shopping, and we know what each one demands of a listing, a price and a stock plan.
KC safety certification, radio conformity, food-contact filings, Korean labelling — prepared according to how the product is classified, so the brand is not chasing Korean procedure from abroad.
Sell-through, returns, and which channel turned a listing down and why. A brand gets the same numbers we use internally.
Finding camping and outdoor lines that fit how Korean sites are set up, what fits in a car, and what a backpacker will actually carry.
Certification review, HS classification, customs clearance and Korean labelling — settled before the first container moves.
Placing product with online marketplaces, lifestyle platforms, department stores and home shopping, then keeping the listings and stock running.
Pricing structure, the order channels are opened in, and launch scope — built per brand rather than run off a template.
Korean product pages, photography direction, and campaign timing set against spring and autumn camping demand.
Assortment planning, reorder cycles, and feedback from the field routed back to the brand's product team.
A lantern, a cook set and a stove each sit under a different act. Below is an overview of the procedures we handle, depending on how the product is classified.
Lanterns, LED lighting and rechargeable items can fall under safety confirmation or supplier's declaration of conformity. We confirm the classification first, then run testing and certification.
Lanterns, speakers and accessories with Bluetooth or wireless functions go through conformity assessment before sale.
Cook sets, cups and tableware require an import declaration and testing against the applicable standards. The documents differ by material.
For butane stoves and fuel-burning lanterns we confirm the inspection and approval requirements under the relevant act before importing at all.
Camping items marketed for children are certified separately. We review the product labelling wording along with the certification.
Importer details, country of manufacture, materials, and use and storage cautions in Korean, with origin marking applied to requirement.
Which procedure applies depends on how a product is classified. We confirm the classification with the competent authority or a certification body before quoting a timeline or a cost.
We label the relationship as it stands. Every brand below is one we have handled as a Korean distribution partner; brands under our own import contract would be marked Official.

The tarp line from the same brand. We checked the pole configuration, how much light the fabric blocks, and whether it holds tension in wind.

Stainless cup sets with carry cases. Because these are food-contact articles, the material and the import-declaration requirements have to be checked together.

Aluminium roll-top tables. For car camping this category lives or dies on packed volume and whether it stays level, so those are what we looked at.

Multi-tools. A brand we have handled in the course of Korean distribution; we do not hold import rights for it.

Wheeled outdoor water containers. On sites where the tap is a long walk away, how easily it moves is what actually drove sales.

GS ShopWe tell you up front what gets decided at each step and what ends up in writing.
We look at the line, the intended buyer and whether it is realistic in Korea. If it is not a fit, we say so at that point.
We test what will land in the Korean market and what will get no response.
Territory, volumes, pricing and the scope of support, agreed before the first order.
Whichever of the KC, radio-conformity or food-contact procedures applies, plus customs clearance and Korean labelling.
Listing build, per-channel pricing and stock allocation, opened in sequence rather than all at once.
Sell-through and return reasons written up and shared, then the next order planned together.
Brands, retailers and partners are all welcome. We reply within two business days.
